Hey Guys! Molly and I know that we have a curse placed on us. We joke that every time that we have a wedding in Savannah it rains. But, seriously it does. But, you know what?! We are blessed with the most amazing couples. Our brides and grooms don’t let a little rain ruin the excitement of their wedding day! Stacey and Donald’s wedding was awesome! Molly was still on maternity on their wedding day, so I asked Candice Emerson from C. Hope Photography to help second shoot their wedding with me. Thanks Candice for traveling down to help capture this beautiful day. The first second that I met Stacey, I knew she was going to be a fun, laid back gal. She didn’t freak out when she saw that it was raining before the first sight. She and Donald were still up for doing their first sight outdoors at the beautiful Wormsloe Plantation. We were out there for a little while and then the rain got a little heavier, so we decided to move on to a bluff area near the church that they were getting married at. They had some sweet friends that didn’t mind us using their dock, so we grabbed some umbrellas and headed over there for some shots. As soon as we go to the church, Isle of Hope Methodist Church, the rain stopped. I was so thankful that the rain stopped so that we could photograph the bridal party in front of this adorable church. After the ceremony, everyone headed over to Cohen’s Retreat! This place is amazing. The decor is modern, but with a little quirk and a few antiques. This was the first time I’d been there and was super impressed with everything about it! The reception was so fun ! I loved their polaroid guestbook. The guests had a good time passing around the cameras and filling up the book with their instant photos. In less words, wonderful bride and groom, sweet friends and families, beautiful wedding, great party! I’m so thankful for adventureous, sweet couples who don’t mind getting a little damp on their wedding day 🙂 Congrats Stacey and Donald!
