Cristina here. My journey with photography took off when I was about sixteen. I loved dressing friends up in crazy outfits and photographing them out in nature. I can’t believe how lucky I was that they, actually, agreed to be my models for so many shoots and never said “no way”. Dressing friends up and photographing them continued for projects in my college photo classes too! So, it makes sense that wedding photography is a passion that I have. Beautiful human beings all dressed up to commit themselves to each other forever, who can resist photographying a love story?! Molly and I love our job so much, but, sometimes I forget to take time for myself, with all the editing, meetings, planning, emails and other business stuff. It’s been so long ago that I just planned a shoot for fun. This year I promised myself I would do a few creative shoots for myself and to try to get back to using some film. So, I had some lovely volunteers help me with a vision and I’m extremely grateful that these sweet gals that were up for kayaking in dated clothing in the rain and dodging alligators and getting in some very chilly water, just to help me get some poetic images. Also, thanks for the lovely singing. It was such a pretty feeling, kayaking through a foggy jungle, listening to these girls sing songs. Thanks ladies! These are just a few digital images that I took that evening and I’ll blog some of the film images when I get the scans back from the lab. If you need to turn on the celtic woman’s pandora station to look at these, that’ll complete the experience:)
