Hey everyone! Molly here!
Yesterday we posted Katie’s Bridals . Today, you get to see Matt and Katie’s big day! I’ve already spoken on Katie, so I’ll talk about Matt for a minute. Matt is a super quiet country guy. He said maybe 50 words to me all day. He didn’t even say much when he saw Katie on their wedding day, BUT the way he looked at her when he saw her was priceless. Even though he’s quiet , you can tell what he’s thinking by looking at him. The excitement in his eyes when he saw her, his kind of..” I’m trying not to smile” smile. I could even tell when he was tired of having his picture taken. haha! And then I told him to wipe that look off his face (just kidding).
Anyway, I could also tell everything Katie was thinking by looking at her expressions. They are perfect for each other and just so dang cute. Also, I have to say, these two families were SO so sweet. Not only to each other, but to us as well.
Katie’s dad had one chance to strangle Matt, but he didn’t take it. He must like him or something. 🙂
Katie is very close to her mom and dad. She told me she wanted to have a reveal with her family and a time where they could be together and say a prayer. She said she was as nervous about seeing her dad as she was about seeing her new husband. The moments that followed were some of the sweetest moments I have seen. Everyone cried. Myself and Cristina included. It was one of those things like off a hallmark commercial where she says “Daddy” and he says “You’ll always be my baby girl” .. yeahhh . So I keep getting teary eyed and I’m gonna move on now.
Katie and Matt wanted to do their reveal in a cotton field, so Cristina and I found the PERFECT one. I left early with Matt, so that I could go take some shots of him in the field while Katie finished getting ready. ANNND, as I pulled up, I saw this huge cotton picker. Our perfect cotton field was being harvested. DOH! So, after realizing that every other cotton field in Adel was also being harvested that very day, we drove out to the farm where they were having the reception. The pecan field was beautiful. Because Katie had already had her portrait session, I wanted to get some photos of Matt.
And then, it was time for the reveal. I love these next few!
Katie set a lot of time in her schedule for photos, which we greatly appreciate.
Before we knew it, it was ceremony time!
Personally, I LOVE kids in wedding. Luckily, Katie and Matt didn’t mind too much when a small wrestling match broke out at their feet.
I liked Katie’s face better when he said “I now pronounce you …” than the kiss picture.
The reception was PERFECT. Joe Kem’s BBQ catered. They have the yummiest sauce evah. The Blues Factor band played. They were great, but I’m partially deaf now.
Great Photos ladies. You do a great job at capturing the moments so they tell the story forever!
