Hey everyone! Molly here!
A few weeks ago, Jessica and Jake got married at GCSU, which happens to be our alma mater . Cristina and I met in a medium and large format film class about ten years ago, and we were the only two people from south Georgia. Everyone else was from the Atlanta area. We loved our school experience, and the quirky little town the school is nestled in. It’s obvious that Jessica and Jake feel the same way. These two were exactly what we needed on a rainy Saturday morning. They were precious, they had coffee, and they laughed … A LOT. YAY! Oh, and they had a breakfast reception. SCORE! Behind their sweet smiles, I know they were worried about the weather. 100% chance is usually not so much a great thing , so when it started to rain about halfway through portraits I was worried that they would be worried. After all, it was supposed to be an outdoor wedding. Little did I know, her mom (and dad) have super powers. I have never seen a mom work so hard on the wedding day. She was already dressed in her dress and heels and as it was pouring rain, she was lifting chairs 4 at a time and throwing them on a truck to be moved to the porch. I’ve never seen someone so petite lift so much or move so quickly. Under the porch of the main campus, dads were unloading chairs and Jakes mom was wiping them off. It was eventful , but y’all, as soon as the ceremony got started it was SO peaceful . The sound of the rain, the breeze, and the prayer, all came together for a powerful sweet ceremony and I began to think maybe rain on your wedding day was good luck after all.
