Hey everyone! Molly here!
We started the year off with an absolutely stellar couple. Like, I hope they set the precedent for how awesome the rest of our brides and grooms will be this year. Hunter wore the same dress that her mother and grandmother wore to their weddings, and it couldn’t have been more flawless. Brian made her giggle all day. About 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony, the clouds began pouring in and the decision to move the ceremony from the outdoor setting of the gorgeous oak to the reception location was made. By the time the guests arrived, there was a heavy downpour and a small river began to form where the ceremony would be held. The gorgeous rugs flooded and the guests huddled in from the blowing rain, and then the power went out. No lightbulbs hanging overhead, no microphone, no power for the catering staff to complete the meals that were to go out in under an hour…. This would have been the time for any typical bride or groom to panic. But y’all. .. They just went on with a smile, like this day was meant to be this way. They had a ceremony with a string quartet and a river and a gentle rain dancing on the tent. It was so peaceful and intimate , and I am happy they chose joy . Needless to say, it probably isn’t how the day played out in their heads, but it was a fantastic celebration!
