Hey guys!
Cristina here! So, I had a wonderful session with these two. It was so great to, actually, have a river and a spring as my work place for a day. Farran and Wade are one of the sweetest couples I know. I’ve shot these two before a couple years ago and I was so excited when Farran contacted me recently and said that she and Wade wanted an adventureous shoot. She said they wanted these photos so when they have kids, they’ll be able to see how fun and adventureous they were, when they were young. I think that is one of the best ideas ever! So, we decided to head to the Wacissa River and rent a canoe. I’m used to this lovely river, because my husband and I loved kayaking here and my dad used take me canoeing there, when I was younger. If anyone has been to the Wasicca, they know there is lots of wildlife. There’s alligators, snakes, fish, birds, turtles. The alligators don’t freak me out, but snakes and huge spiders do. I haven’t seen a snake at the Wasicca, since I was 8, probably because I’m in my own little wonderland bubble, focusing on the scenery and looking down in the water. After a few shots, Wade spoted this really cool tree with a low branch that he wanted to sit on, so we got closer to the tree and Farran spotted a huge water moccasin hanging out on the tree base, so Farran and I quickly decided, that was probably not a great idea anymore. I have a feeling Wade would not have minded poking that snake out of the way for this shot, but I’m glad we left him alone. haha! Anyway, we had another incident with spiders and huge man eating mosquitoes. I embarrassed myself by screaming like a little girl a few times, but it was an amazing day. We ended our session at a spring that I found recently near Madsion and even though the water was FREEZING and the sun had gone down, Farran and Wade jumped in and loved on eachother. Thanks guys for letting me be there for this adventure, it was amzing!
