Hey everyone! Molly here!
A few weeks ago, we headed to St. Augustine , which is one of my favorite cities, to photograph Amy and Mike’s gorgeous wedding at Cathedral Basilica downtown. This has to be one of my favorite Cathedrals we have ever shot in, because the light was fantastic and I loved the details. Cristina kept telling me how great this family was that we were going to photograph and I was all “ok, ok, calm down” but HOLY COW they were all so sweet. I loved them all, and I wanted a pocket version of this family to carry around. Mike’s whole crew was great. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with him and his boys. They knew when to listen and when to cut up, which is a rare treat for me ;). I could tell Mike was one of those guys who pretty much got along with anyone, but I hadn’t seen Amy smile that big all day until she saw him. I loved seeing the excitement on their faces when they saw each other. I loved the glances and looks that they gave each other during the ceremony and when Amy would crack up he would smile and look ahead like “ok now this is supposed to be serious”. I could feel the connection between them even more so during their couples portraits. Finally, they kicked off the reception at the lovely Casa Monica. My favorite new thing is Lebanese dances, apparently. It was so much fun and WAYYYY better than the electric slide or cupid shuffle. Cristina was so right about y’all !
