We photographed Danielle and Thomas’ wedding last month at the wonderful First Baptist Church. I always love the light in the church, and the coordinator and preacher are very friendly! (Would you believe it’s not like that in all of the churches we go to?!!) Anyway, we started photos at the Crescent House downtown. I was so SO glad to have a nice air conditioned place with shade to photograph. It was HAWT (when it’s hotter than hot, it’s hawt , here in Georgia ). You know what else was HAWT? This couple.  🙂  . I really like when people have a personality that is as pretty as their outsides.  That sounded wrong, but you get what I’m saying. Anyway, after the ceremony, we headed to Kinderlou Golf Course for the reception!

 

 

 

This was a very special part of the ceremony.  Danielle’s step-dad and mom had gotten married in the same church, on the same day 17 years ago, with the same officiant. As if that wasn’t cool enough, her step-dad had gotten down on one knee during that ceremony and given a ring to 8 year-old Danielle, too. It was a ring promising to love her as his own. She wore the ring for 17 years, and as a surprise to him on her wedding day, they announced that they were keeping that ring and using it as hers and Thomas’ wedding ring. I know. I cried too. It’s ok.
