Hey everyone! Molly here!
A few weeks ago, we scheduled Tommy and Nichole’s engagement session. And then we rescheduled it. Twice. This weather has been CAH-RAZY.
Anyway, so I’ve known Tommy for years and years and years. I think we may have met in middle school. He was a curly headed kid who was skinny like me and funny too. We had his cousin in common as a good friend, so we hung out in high school and college when my husband (then boyfriend) was roommates with his cousin. Fast forward, Tommy comes to our wedding and the night before (we had all of our friends go out with us) offers Cristina alligator tail. She almost threw up and had to leave. Anyway, Tommy got a little crazy at our wedding, and the next day, on his way back to Georgia, had his first date with Nichole. Now, aside from Facebook, I had not talked to him in a while. I saw pictures of him and this super cute girl and her super cute son with a fish in his hand, but I knew it was serious when people started telling me “He’s changed!” “He’s really grown up!” “He HUNTS now! ” And I still had not met this girl who had tamed Tommy. And then came Lexi, Nichole and Tommy’s daughter. And I saw where he was SO excited, and I was very very glad that he found happiness in his little family. I still had not met this girl who changed him, though.
Anyway, earlier this year, I was able to meet Nichole and her mama . I was a little nervous. This is the girl who tamed Tommy, and she wanted ME to photograph the wedding. What’s she like?! Anyway, they were both two of the sweetest people ever. Nichole was so quiet and sweet, and it was easy to see why Tommy likes her.
At their engagement session, I had no idea what to expect. I had not seen Tommy since my wedding 4 years ago. You know how people change, but are still totally themselves? Like changing for the better? Well that’s what happened. I was SO pleased with the way these two interacted. It was natural and fun.. Just how it should be.
Here, Tommy is prepping for his next feat of strength. Nichole, looking at him like he’s an idiot.
Oh, meet Mallard. This guy followed us around for about 30 minutes until we may or may not have given him some frito remnants.
Molly, these are wonderful! You guys did an awesome job, just as we knew you would 🙂 Can’t wait for you guys to capture the BIG day!!
ps. and I thought the same about you when Nichole and I first met you..so sweet!
Nichole and I can’t express how much fun we had with y’all. We definitely picked a great group of photographers!
Now, Sept. can’t come soon enough!!
