Hey everyone! Molly here!
So, most people know I don’t claim to “specialize” in baby photography. I love babies very much, and I enjoy asking the moms a million and a half stupid questions that, as a woman, I probably should already know. Newborn shoots take a lot of time, and I don’t have any babes of my own so I always tell moms to be patient with me. It’s easy for moms to get frustrated when they see their baby isn’t staying still to get that really awesome photo. Luckily, Olive’s mom and dad were super easy going and surprisingly didn’t get frustrated when Olive wanted to stay awake and “take in” the world….namely, my backyard. When I shoot weddings and engagements, I am confident. I (usually) know when I got *the* shot right after I shoot it. With babies, I don’t have that confidence, so I did a lot of looking through my shots during the shoot. To be honest, I wasn’t proud of them right when I took them…BUT when I loaded the card and started to cull images I had so many favorites. I can’t imagine what I’m going to be like when I have babies of my own, if I had this many I loved of sweet Olive.
Here are a few favorite favorites. Thanks mom and dad for hanging out for a while!
Wide awake, looking straight at the camera. She’s beautiful.
I loved this one because of her smile.
I love the shape of her nose. (is that weird?)
Sweet little lips.
