Hey everyone! Molly here!
A few weeks ago, we traveled to the quaint town of Greensboro to photograph Amanda and Brandon’s wedding at her parents home. Honest moment. Sometimes, when I haven’t met the bride and groom a list of “what-ifs” run through my head. “what if they’re nuts? what if they hate each other? what if they like football more than they like each other? what if the groom is drunk all day? what if their family and friends are rude?” etc. etc. etc. Not necessarily nervous. Part of what I like about wedding photography is that it is unpredictable, I just like to know the couple isn’t one of the variables of unpredictability. ANYWAY. The moment I met Amanda, she felt like an old friend. In fact, pretty much everyone I met that day did. I couldn’t tell who was friends and who was family, because everyone was so close. Everyone genuinely wanted to help and wanted to love on Amanda and Brandon. It was a misty morning. The annoying kind where everything is too wet to keep wiping the tables off, but not wet enough that you call the wedding indoors. So we waited, and it was so worth it! Brandon and his brother had been joking about who would cry first. When they saw each other coming down the aisle they both burst into tears, and then laughter, and then tears. I was SO glad no one could see me boo-hoo-ing behind my camera. I loved the look on Brandon’s face as Amanda came up the aisle with her dad. The whole ceremony was filled with so much emotion; just how it should be. Thanks, Amanda and Brandon, for letting us be a part of your day.
