Hey Everyone! Molly here!
About a year and a half ago, we attended a workshop for women photographers in Atlanta called Love Affair. We met tons of cool people there, but a few stuck out. One was Jennifer of Jennifer/Brooks photography. She was part of a co-ownership too, and I think we were the only other ones there who had a business partner. Now, because of a move, it is Jennifer Lynn Photography . We kept in touch with her and several other photographers that we met at Love Affair, but we never thought we would realistically see any of them again (these are girls from all over the world). Jennifer lives in Virginia, but we were SO excited when she asked us if we could shoot her family while she was visiting her family in Georgia over Christmas break.
I am so glad everything worked out, because I love love love her little family. I can honestly say that I have never seen a kid who loves his parents so much and vice-versa. He said things and did things that made me just want to tear up. I have several things that I always say to kids to get a cackle out of them. “Can I try on your shoes?” “How old are you..88?!” and “Do you have a girlfriend?” .. He obviously thought I was hitting on him, cause he said “Yes I do. My mama. ” and I was like “awwwwwwwwww.” Then he said “I just love my daddy!” and I was like ” awwwwwww”. And then at the very end, Cristina was talking to Jenn, and I saw the door start to open like he was trying to get out and I went over there and said “What are you doin?” and he said “I just wanted to tell you thank you for taking my picture.” and I was said ” are you sure you don’t want to come home with me?”. He shook his head, ‘no’ and then ate a skittle off his foot. HAHA!
So I for real love Jennifer and her husband and how they have raised their little man to be such a sweetheart. Not to mention they looked awesome for their shoot, were patient, and pretty much were up for whatever… including a magical forrest . It is always a little intimidating shooting other photographers, but when they know what they want in a client she knew pretty much what we would want in a client.. does that make sense?
Here are our favs! (It was hard to choose).
This was, by far, one of my most favorites that C took!
As long as he had a stick, he was happy :).
I have to say, I love how the field pictures turned out..
It’s easy to see where little man got his gorgeous blue eyes!
Some Star Wars gear was acquired over Christmas, so it was awesome when they suggested using it in a few photos. These cracked me up so much!
