Sam + Dustin :: Jekyll Island Wedding Photographer ::

Hey everyone! Molly here! A couple of weeks ago, we got to photograph my best friends’ wedding.  As stated in their engagement post, we all go way back.  I’m rarely rarely nervous photographing weddings anymore. I actually really enjoy not knowing everything that is going to happen but I WAS SO NERVOUS . I have no clue why but I felt like I was the one about to get married.  Maybe it was the strep throat or the weird weather. I don’t know. I actually didn’t cry until I got close enough to hear what they were saying. And then, I lost it.  Luckily, the images are in focus. When Sam told me they were eloping, I thought it was perfect for them.  Then I wondered if she would regret not having people there. Then I remembered she was the ‘TJ’ in the relationship  and I am the Dustin.  We are opposites, and I love that about us. I think that’s why I love Dustin too!  I am the one who couldn’t find my phone half the day and Sam had ALL of her wedding stuff organized in a tupperware container ready to go–including the marriage license in a super cute folder.  Their vows both started exactly the same “who would have thought….” which pretty much perfectly sums up their relationship from high school until now.  Anyway, I love you guys so much. I’ll stop writing before I cry again.

Here we are exactly 18 years before the wedding date.  Sam and Alisha were my first friends when I moved to public school. This was for our 7th grade Christmas dance.

She said “I almost forgot! I brought smoke bombs!” And that’s when I fell in love with her again.
