Raven + Jeremy :: The Peach Barn Wedding Photographer ::

A few weeks ago, we photographed Raven and Jeremy’s wedding at the Peach Barn in Tifton, GA. I loved how laid-back these two were, even though it was so hot and there were about 7 billion gnats (seriously I’ve never seen so many). Jeremy built the altarpiece for the wedding, and I loved Raven’s style. The shoes, the hair piece, and the bridesmaids dresses were fantastic! I posted last week on facebook about groomsmen etiquette, and I was talking about Raven and Jeremy’s posse. Here is what I said ” I’m sitting here editing a wedding and I have to brag/ rant for a moment. This wedding I’m editing had great groomsmen. Now, a lot of groomsmen we have are great; don’t get me wrong. What set these apart? I heard 3 of them on three separate occasions say how glad they were to be there and to be a part of the day. They brought the bride and groom drinks and bug spray without being asked. They were constantly figuring out how to help, and even asked the bride to dance and compliment her. HOW FANTASTIC !! Menfolk in the Facebook world, If you are asked to be in a wedding – please BE THERE. Be a part of the day. If you’d rather be home watching a football game, tell them. Yeah, you’ll look like a douche, but that’s because you probably are. If you’d rather not get up early to help or get sweaty during photos or if you’re in it to get completely wasted and hit on the photographer then you’re probably not as good of a friend as you think you are. Just because you’re frat buddies doesn’t mean they’re obligated to ask you to be in their wedding. If they do, it’s an honor. Act like it!”

And I mean it! Kuddos to your fantastic family and friends, Raven and Jeremy. Everyone seemed to “be there” !
