 I thought it was awesome that Erin had her mom as her Matron of Honor. I always see guys who make their dads their best man, but I have never seen that. How cool!

These two decided to wait until the ceremony to see each other, but they exchanged presents beforehand with only a door between them.

 She gave him a Bible, and he gave her a painting of Rose Hill, the place where they were about to be married.

 It was all Erin’s dad could do to keep from crying, which I thought was super sweet.

 Can I just tell you how much I love the flower girl’s reaction to the kiss?!

Last month, we went to Albany for Lindsay and Curt’s backyard wedding. I was so excited for them and for their day.  I was telling my husband that this was our favorite kind of wedding (backyard/intimate) , and I ended by saying “but I just hope it doesn’t rain”.. I think I jinxed it.  These are two of the nicest people ever, so they needed sunshine! Well, they didn’t get much on their wedding day.  They were very calm about it though, which I was SO glad about.  At the end of the day, the results were the same as if it had been sunny: they were happily married, and they partied with their closest friends and family.

 Then, just as the rain started,  it was wedding time!

Love this shot. It is so sweet, and it’s how I think every groom should feel.

During the prayer, I moved to the back of the tent, drying my lens with my skirt. Then, I realized I was leaning against a pole that had FREEZING cold water running down it onto my back.  No one seemed to notice me shivering except for this little one.

It was a very peaceful and calm ceremony. The rain on the tent made me want to nap, and I loved that you could see droplets between the tent and the porch.

Lindsay’s brother, the man of honor, had to wring her veil out for her!  haha!

Then, it was on to the Marine Base for the reception.  Side story… I used to have wedding photography nightmares at the beginning of each season. They consisted of me running my memory cards over, forgetting my camera, me getting lost and being late to the wedding, etc.

 Well, we got lost on the Marine base (it’s obvious that I can’t follow directions and will never be Marine material).  On top of that, we actually led a guest astray when they were told to follow us (Marine must have not known that we were not Marine material).  We literally wondered around the extremely empty/ no-one-to-be-seen base for 10 minutes before I started getting that “Oh s#@%”  wedding nightmare feeling that we were going to miss the first dance. I called the bride, the groom, the bride’s mom, and a guest that we went to high school with.   Just as I was entering my panic attack mode, Lindsay called and said they were at the front gate and would we follow them up.  WOULD WE?!  We found our way to the front gate just in time for them to come around the corner.

I sometimes have a hard time giving things to God to take care of, and I should know He’d handle it.  Anyway,  we made it for the first dance and no one knew we were lost (except for that one guest, who found his own way..and well.. all of you now).

Hey everyone! Molly here!

Last month, C and I traveled to Atlanta to photograph Erinn and Will’s gorgeous wedding at the Swan House ( Atlanta History Center ). We already knew we would have a good time with these two from their engagement session last year.  They didn’t disappoint! These two must pose in the mirror at home or something, because they don’t need much direction.  It was a big wedding on a tight timeline at a large facility, so I am so thankful for our friend and past bride Katey ( Katey Elliot Photography ) who used her teacher skills to call names and gather people and Lindsay’s crew from Toast Events for all of their help !

We had A LOT of favorites.. While I’m waiting on them all to load, I’ll play Family Feud on my phone… I mean… I’ll list the vendors.

 They then served everyone gelato before riding off in the truck. It was awesome!!

A couple of weeks ago, Lindsay and her mom came to visit us for some senior photos (and of course an adventure).  We had a really long , but really great session with her. We went on a short hike, wrestled some ‘gators, played in the mud… you know, the usual.  She’s pretty much our ideal senior. Bubbly, cute, and friendly ! And so was her mama!

I’ve been slacking on the blog and facebook (must be wedding season or something ) sorry!  But I’ve been dying to blog these two. For some reason, I really liked them.  Not that I don’t like every one of our clients, but I like people that are a little quirky even more.  Matt and Emily met while working at a haunted house ( told you they were cool) and have been smitten ever since.  Also, sorry for not so many words on the blog, I’m about to head out to Relay for Life in Valdosta, and Cristina is enjoying the Rose Parade with her family who came in from Columbus.  She just texted me this photo of her 83 yr old super sweet Puerto Rican grandpa (I never know what he’s saying) but we like to smile at each other.  He’s waving at the veterans in the parade. How cute is he?!

Ok, back to Matt and Emily , which is why I’m blogging in the first place!!

 Then, it was on to the haunted house, which was by far one of the coolest and hardest places we’ve ever shot.  It took us foreverrrr (Sandlot reference)  to set up lighting and get it right . It was dark in that haunted house!

Last month, we photographed Kristy and Matt’s super sweet wedding.  They were married at Avalon United Methodist Church in Albany and had their reception at Cheehaw.  We really liked how these two celebrated with their family all day. We already knew Matt was a one-of-a-kind guy, because it’s rare that a groom is the one to book us much less keep up with us!  Kristy was so calm even with the looming threats of storms (that luckily only lasted a little while) .  We had never met them before the day of the wedding, but it was nice to see how much the relaxed and got lovey when it was just the two of them.

We loved watching Matt and Kristy’s entourage all day! There were lots of nieces who were giggly and excited.

 Puppy Love!!! Matt and Kristy love their pups, and I love that they are animal lovers.

 Then, the entourage brought Matt his gift from Kristy (a pocket watch that if I remember correctly said “Timing is everything”). Matt must be the coolest uncle ever, because these girls sure loved him!

 Kristy and Matt’s presents to their parents were sweet too.  Hankies that said things like “Today a Bride, Tomorrow a Wife, Always your Baby” and “Thank you for raising your son to be the man of my dreams.”

 By the time the ceremony rolled around, not everyone was excited about walking down the aisle.

 And then, we stole them for just  a few minutes of “us” time. By us , I mean us four. haha! The light was SO yummy.

 Then it was party time!  People came in from all over the country to see these two !

I love photographing seniors.  I feel like I’m still young enough to relate to them, but old enough to be comfortable with the level of geek that I am (you know you’re a nerd when you use the word geek). Seniors are usually fashionable, bubbly, and fun. And I usually end up getting a hug at the end of the session. And we’ve had such awesome seniors this year. Seriously, what more could you ask for?

Natalie was no different.  We had already been rained out of a session two times, so when we arrived and there was a giant rain cloud looming I was about to pitch a fit.  She and her mom didn’t seem to mind, and it ended up being beautiful weather.  Natalie said something to the effect that she wasn’t used to being photographed. Soon, I was wondering if she hadn’t been a model in her past life.  Here are my favs!

Last month, we photographed Ashley and Mike’s wedding in Albany.  We already knew we really liked Ashley and Mike from their engagement session (see it here), so we were super excited about their wedding. We were really worried that it might pour on their wedding day (60% chance of rain), but it turned out to be really nice weather!  The wedding was at Porterfield United Methodist Church, and the reception was at Ashley’s parents’ beautiful home.  I love backyard weddings/receptions SO much !

Then it was time for a super sweet first look ! I love how ecstatic Ashley was when she was around Mike.

 Can I just Tell you how much I LOVE THE SOUTH. The heat and gnats are so worth it for the spanish moss.

We had a lot of fun, and these two really know how to work it!  We’ve been lucky , lately, to have couples who take direction really well. Could be because he is a baseball coach. Whitney tells us he looks nice in his baseball uniform

Anyway, on to our favorites!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa and David with Melissa’s cute baby belly (Kennedy).  These two were so sweet together.  They grinned and bared it through the swarming mosquitos (seriously, WHAT is going on out there? It’s only March! )  and the South GA heat.  We also discovered spit frogs, to which I came home and googled and determined I was very wrong about (it’s actually a bug called frog-hopper in there).  It’s always an adventure .

Long story short, these two are super excited about meeting Kennedy soon!  If she’s anything like her mom and dad, she’s bound to be a cutie!
